My Story
Tyler Lenn Bradley (she/her) is a poet, spoken word artist, storyteller, and mental health advocate known as The Permission Slip Poet. Through poetry and multidisciplinary art, Tyler’s work invites people to give themselves permission: to be authentic, confront fear, and pursue the lives they dream of rather than the ones they feel pressured to live.

Her artistic practice centers on using poetry as a tool for connection, healing, and self-trust. Whether on the page, on stage, or installed within physical space, Tyler’s work explores identity, mental health, transition, and the complexity of being human, particularly through the lens of a Black woman navigating visibility and belonging.

Tyler’s debut poetry collection, Phasing Freely, chronicles her personal mental health journey through the many phases of the moon. The book blends poetry, quotes from her Great Grandmother, and journal prompts to encourage readers to examine the craters of their own lives.

Her poetry has been performed across the United States, Italy, France, England, Ireland, Spain, and Australia, bringing her work to global audiences through spoken word showcases, curated events, and touring performances.

In addition to her independent artistic career, Tyler is a Creative Producer with Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Live Entertainment, where she develops and produces large-scale live entertainment experiences Disney theme parks worldwide.
